SASKATCHEWAN INVITES 621, MANITOBA INVITES 212 CANDIDATES TO APPLY FOR NOMINATION
The province of Saskatchewan with its reputation of being a friendly province has this week held another invitation round inviting 621 applicants to apply for provincial nomination. This invitation specifically targeted candidates in 3 tech occupations. This latest round is the largest PNP draw by the province since February this year.
The three tech provisional categories invited for this latest Saskatchewan PNP draw are as follows
- Computer and information systems professionals Software engineers and designers
- Computer programmers and interactive media developers
- Web designers and developers
In a similar development, the province of Manitoba also held a new draw, inviting 212 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent.
They invited skilled workers and international student graduates are invited through three immigration streams which are the Manitoba skilled workers, Oversea skilled workers, and International Education Streams. The invitations, also known as Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs), were distributed as follows along with their respective Expression of Interest (EOI) score requirement
- Skilled Workers in Manitoba— 168 LAAs with a minimum score of at least 475
- Skilled Workers Overseas— 9 LAAs with a minimum score of at least 824
- International Education Stream— 35 LAAs, no EOI score requirement.
This year alone, the province of Manitoba has issued 3,511 LAAs to immigration candidates in these categories. This new draw was Manitoba’s 98th draw since the program began in April 2014.
