Ontario invites 703, Saskatchewan Invites 570 Candidates in Latest Provincial Draws
703 Candidates have been invited for Ontario Express Entry. Invited candidates possess work experience in targeted occupations. In this latest invitation, Express Entry candidates needed a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score between 466 and 475. If they successfully receive the nomination, they will automatically be awarded an additional 600 CRS points, which will effectively guarantee them an Invitation to Apply in a subsequent Express Entry draw. This goes for any successful candidates of a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) invited candidates with work experience in one of the following occupations to apply for a provincial nomination:
- Financial managers NOC 0111
- Advertising, marketing and public relations managers NOC 0124
- Corporate sales managers NOC 0601
- Financial auditors and accountants NOC 1111
- Other financial officers NOC 1114
- Professional occupations in business management consulting NOC 1122
- Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses NOC 3012
- Allied primary health practitioners NOC 3124
- Dietitians and nutritionists NOC 3132
To receive the provincial nomination from Ontario, a candidate need to apply under the Human Capital Priorities Stream, and have at least one year work experience in one of the above occupations. The work experience must have been obtained within the last five years from the date of the application either in Canada or from oversea. Also, there should be no break in employment for over a one-year period, but back-to-back jobs in the same occupation but with different employers is acceptable.
In a Similar development, Saskatchewan has held a draw inviting 570 immigration candidates in what could be the largest draw of 2020. The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) invited all 570 candidates from the International Skilled Worker category through the Occupations In-Demand subcategory.
Invited candidates had Educational Credential assessments. They also needed an Expression of Interest (EOI) score of at least 68 if they had connections to the province or at least 10 years of work experience and a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of at least 8. Otherwise they needed at least 69 points.
Express Entry candidates who apply for and receive a provincial nomination from the province of Saskatchewan are awarded an additional 600 points toward their Comprehensive Ranking System score at the federal level and are effectively guaranteed an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence.
